Tianjin university kicked off the Fourth Wang Zhengting Cup Sports Competition on last Saturday, with the opening ceremony taking place at the sports ground on Weijin Road Campus.

Vice President of Tianjin university Gong Jinlong announced the official opening after delivering his opening speech. 

Han Guiyou, Chairman of Tianjin Flying Pigeon Company gave his talks on promoting campus sports culture and further cycling cooperation with Tianjin University. 

Besides speeches, the ceremony ignited the audience with three exciting and delightful performances presented by Kindergarten children, faculty representatives, and young student representatives.

The competition has set up 14 major events and 107 sub events, with over 5000 teachers and students registering to participate. 

After the ceremony, the university leaders walked onto the track and field ground, engaging in a 400 meter interactive jog with representatives of teachers and students, which raised curtain on followed sports events, such as high jump,long jump, shot put and mixed relay, etc.
